6ème Festival de la Langue et de la Musique Flamandes

Festival organisé en partenariat avec les Pays de Flandre : initiation au flamand pour les enfants des écoles, rencontres de rhétorique, bal folk flamand, concert d'oeuvres flamandes pour carillon, concerts de musique traditionnelle et contemporaine flamande, expositions, sports traditionnels.

Porte ouverte... sur la langue flamande

CRD/VBGC3 ans après sa création, le Centre de Ressources Documentaires de l'Institut de la Langue Régionale Flamande s'agrandit.
Dans de nouveaux locaux du rez de chaussée du Centre Culturel rue Carnot mis à disposition de l'ANVT-ILRF par la Commune de Steenvoorde, le CRD de l'Institut ouvre désormais ses portes au public 3 jours par semaine : les lundi, mardi et mercredi de 9 h à 12 h et de 14 h à 17 h ainsi que le premier samedi matin de chaque mois de 9h à 12 h.
Vous y trouverez une base de données importante sur la langue flamande (dictionnaires, ouvrages de linguistique, enregistrements de collectage, documents sur la toponymie, livres de cours, CD de musique flamande,...). Vous pourrez également demander à son équipe de permanents un appui pour la rédaction d'affiches et de dépliants bilingues pour votre commune, votre association, votre commerce.
Afin de venir découvrir ce nouvel outil au service de la Langue Régionale Flamande, nous vous invitons à la

Flemish Rhetoricians’ evening meeting in Wormhout

The Institute of the Flemish Regional Language has taken part over the last five years in the Week of the French Language and France’s Languages in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture. This year again some students who attend the Flemish courses run by cultural associations have consequently composed texts and poems in Flemish and in French as well. They will declaim their pieces on the occasion of a Flemish rhetoricians evening meeting on Friday June 12th at 7 p.m. in Wormhout public library and resource centre. You are free to let the Flemish language speak to your heart.

5th Flemish Language and Music Festival in Bollezeele (Oct. 16-18 2009)

The 5th Flemish Language and Music Festival, which the Institute of the Regional Flemish Language organises every year, will be hosted in Bollezeele on the lands of Yzer Houck, which will be celebrating its 20th anniversary. Visitors will have the opportunity to take part in the various, entertaining activities of both associations. The Institute of the Flemish Regional Language will coordinate initiation courses to Flemish for pupils from the town and the surrounding villages, set up a special meeting of rhetoricians, arrange exhibitions. It will also supervise a Flemish popular ball and a classical concert during which Flemish organ works from the 16th to the 20th century will be played, as well as traditional and contemporary Flemish music concerts. Yser Houck will offer visitors a whole range of Flemish traditional village festivities, humorous speeches, a Flemish meal, traditional sports, a mass with Flemish sermon, …  In a nutshell, this festival will be the perfect occasion for visitors, whether they speak Flemish or not, no matter where they come from, to have a pleasant week end in the very heart of French Flanders.

Flemish Christmas Carols in Wormhout and Bergues

On the occasion of two concerts Het Reuzekoor will interpret the most beautiful Flemish songs, among which some from Edmond de Coussemaker’s repertoire and some other from local songs collecting. The first concert will take place in St Martin Church in Wormhout on Sunday December 7th at 4 p.m. The second concert will be given in St Martin Church in Bergues on Sunday December 14th at 4 p.m. (overture by the Groenberg choir)
